brackinAnnie Mae (Lindsey) Brackin, 83, of Duncanville, TX, passed away on August 10, 2015 in Cedar Hill, TX during the night, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Her family had been with her throughout the day.

Visitation will be held at Jaynes Memorial Chapel on August 12, 2015 from 2:00-4:00.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Village Falls Cemetery, Bayview/Mulga, AL.

Annie was born in St Clair County, Alabama to Samuel and Bertha Mae Lindsey on April 20, 1932. She worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama Hospital for 30 years and retired in 1991. She enjoyed listening to southern gospel music, her flowers and fishing at the river.

Annie is survived by her daughter Patricia and son-in-law Jeff Downing, of Dallas, TX, her son Brady and daughter-in-law Deborah Brackin of Duncanville, TX, four granddaughters, Tammy Bobien of Fultondale, AL, Kelly Wilson of Mesquite, TX, Dena Hallaren of Arizona, Nikki Demny and her husband David of Spring, TX; and one grandson, Joshua Brackin and his wife Steffani of Baytown, TX. Ann’s great-grandchildren include Dustin Wilson, Kenzie Bobien, Mason Wilson, Jon Demny and Laken Cantwell and great-great-granddaughter Paisley Wilson. She is also survived by one brother Bill Lindsey of Bessemer, AL and many nieces and nephews.

jaynesShe is preceded in death by her husband, Judge P. Brackin, Jr, her parents, Samuel Lindsey and Bertha Mae (Smitherman) Lindsey, her son Judge P. Brackin III (Jim), her brothers Samuel Lindsey (Bo) and Dee Lindsey and great-great-grandson Canaan Wilson

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Brookdale Community and Brookdale Hospice, Cedar Hill, TX
