Anne L. Morton, age 92, of Dallas, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 with family at her side. She was born June 30, 1924 in Dallas to William Young and Minnie Alice (Reed) Ligon. Anne was dedicated to her many causes and always had a way of connecting resources with needs and never sought recognition for making it happen. She was active in Democratic politics and would be considered an early social activist. Her most favored activity was being a “rocker” in the NICU at Methodist Dallas, always making sure each infant had anything they might need.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Morton, Sr.; sons, Steve Morton, Jr. and Bill Morton; daughter-in-law, Ann Morton; and grandson, Josh Teubner.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynne Teubner; daughter-in-law, Diane Morton; grandchildren, Chris Teubner and wife, Sarah, Shannan Teubner, Steve Morton, III, Ben Morton and wife, Valerie, Stephanie Leipold and husband, Michael, and Billy Morton; & great-grandchildren, Keegan Teubner, Addyson Teubner, Jaxon Teubner, Caleb Teubner, Cole Teubner, Dean Stalcup, Kelsey Morton, Tyler Morton, Chloe Morton, Carissa Leipold, Davey Leipold, Shelby Leipold, Johannah Leipold, Bethany Leipold, and Koen Leipold.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Faith Presbyterian Hospice.
