A year after helping lead the Patriots to an NCAA Super Regional and a #16 ranking, Landon Anderson, a senior from Grapevine, Texas, has been named a 2012 NCBWA Pre-Season All-American. With the recognition, Anderson becomes the first Division I Pre-Season All-American in Dallas Baptist history.

Anderson started all 62 games for the Patriots and batted .356, second-highest on the team. His 89 hits on the season also placed him second amongst the Patriots in 2011, when he also slugged 7 homeruns. Anderson also collected 7 triples on the season, which ties him for the highest number amongst all the NCBWA Pre-Season All-American selections. Anderson scored 72 runs, tops on the Patriots and second highest on the All-American teams. He also stole 21 bases in 24 attempts on the season.

The 2011 Patriots finished the season with a record of 42-20 and won the NCAA Fort Worth Regional to advance to the Santa Clara Super Regional. They will begin the 2012 season on February 17 at home against Southeast Missouri State at 3:00 pm. That game will begin a string of 11 home games in their first 16 games on the season. Their first road game will take place on February 21 as they travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma to take on Oklahoma State University.
