Presented by LB Team, Urban League of Greater Dallas & North Central Texas, and Cedar Valley College; the Sustainability in Action Green Conference & Expo, August 16-17 2012 is being held on the Cedar Valley College campus in Lancaster.
The event bills itself as being great for contractors, veterans, entrepreneurs, facility managers, and anyone interested in advancing sustainability in Dallas County.
The event includes a networking luncheon, break-out tracks for commercial and residential contractors, veterans and green enthusiasts.
Topics include; Government Contracting as a Funding Option, Jumpstart Your Green Business Idea, Taking Control of Your Control Systems, Transferring Military Skills into Green Job Skills, EPA Partnership Programs.
The event also includes a tour of the newly opened state-of-the-art Energy Lab at Cedar Valley College.
Day one includes industry experts sharing information, best practices, and emerging job trends in the field of sustainability. Participants will have access to Exhibitors Hall and workshop presentations (free).
On day two, community leaders meet from 9AM until 1PM to develop a sustainability plan of actions (cost: $25).
