Methodist Charlton Medical Center will host its third annual First Ladies and Women in Ministry Brunch on Saturday, Aug. 4 on the Methodist Charlton campus. Special guest speaker for the event will be Sheila Bailey, DHum, president and founder of Sheila B. Ministries, and author of “Makeovers with Leftovers,” which focuses on learning to live on what’s left of life.
“The First Ladies and Women in Ministry Brunch is an opportunity for Methodist Charlton to express its appreciation to the women who serve at the head of our community of churches and to bring awareness to the programs and services that help build bridges between faith and medicine at Methodist Charlton Medical Center,” says Jonathan S. Davis, FACHE, hospital president. “Our goal is to create an atmosphere that fosters partnerships and collaborations within the faith community. We believe that through these vital connections, we will touch and impact the lives of people at a greater level bringing healing through the loving hands of others.”
In addition to an inspiring message from Sheila Bailey, attendees will also enjoy an elegant brunch, a fashion show by Kamit Sports designers Dorris Bogus and Jazmine Simmons; and entertainment by singer Bridgette Hammers. Emcee for the event will be Marilyn Mansfield, author, certified personality trainer, and wife of Methodist Health System CEO and President Dr. Stephen L. Mansfield, PhD, FACHE.
