DHS Students Excel on National Spanish Exam

Outscoring others across the country, several Duncanville High School Spanish I students are receiving recognition for their achievements on the 2012 National Spanish Exam.

Yenifer Barahona received the highest level of recognition (gold), scoring in the 95th percentile nationwide. Lucinta Lee, Elisa Martinez, Nayvit Ramirez, Selena Ramirez, Ana Maria Rodriguez, Nehemias Tobar, and Sandra Ulloa scored in the 85th percentile, earning silver awards. Jimmy Voravongsy, Paulina Gonzalez, Oscar Mendez, and Elsa Perales received bronze level recognition for scoring in the 75th percentile. Honorable Mention was also earned by Joshua Alvear, Gustavo Ayala, Karina Cabrera, Cindy Delgado, Jocelyn Elizalde, Laura Garcia, Yulissa Garcia, Alex Gomez, Humberto Lechuga, Stephanie Rodriguez, Roel Soto, and Jonathan Verdin, who scored in the 50th percentile.
