7th Annual Race for Wishes Features Fun for the Entire Family

Make-A-Wish® North Texas will host its 7th Annual Briggs Equipment, A Sammons Enterprises Company, Race for Wishes on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Williams Square in Las Colinas. Race for Wishes is a community event where participants, Wish Kids and volunteers take big strides to make more wishes come true.

Race for Wishes is fun for the whole family providing entertainment, exercise and the popular “Kids Zone” featuring face painting, clowns, games, bounce houses and more. WFAA’s Rebecca Lopez will kick off the event at 8:15am, followed by a warm-up by Jay’s Bootcamp. Soon after, the walkers & runners will take their mark to begin their ventures.  The Fun Run/Walk starts at 8:40am with the 5K starting at 9:00am. Individuals and teams are encouraged to stick around after the race for prizes, awards and entertainment from The Erica Perry Band.  Food will be provided thanks to generous donors like Chick-fil-A, Corner Bakery, Sweet Tomatoes, Jason’s Deli, burgers and hotdogs from the Atmos Cooker, and cupcakes from the Cup Cakin Food Truck.
