Patriots Selected for Second Straight NCAA Baseball Regional Appearance

Dallas, Texas – For the second consecutive year, the Dallas Baptist Patriots have merited an at-large berth into the NCAA Regional Tournament. One year after staking claim to the tournament held in Fort Worth, the Patriots will take a trip down I-35 as part of the 2012 NCAA Waco Regional as they join Baylor, UT-Arlington, and Oral Roberts in a double-elimination tournament beginning on Friday, June 1.

The Patriots earned their third postseason trip in the past five years on the strength of a 39-17 record and an RPI in the Top 25. DBU completed their last ten contests of 2012 with a 7-3 record and went 12-8 against teams included in this year’s Field of 64. Game One: Friday (6/1) – No. 2 Dallas Baptist vs. No. 3 UT Arlington, 1 p.m.
Game Two: Friday (6/1) – No. 1 [4] Baylor vs. No. 4 Oral Roberts, 6 p.m.
Game Three: Saturday (6/2) – Game One loser vs. Game Two loser, 2 p.m.
Game Four: Saturday (6/2) – Game One winner vs. Game Two winner, 7 p.m.
Game Five: Sunday (6/3) – Game Three winner vs. Game Four loser, 2 p.m.
